We started with an introduction to each other and the course. She told me she wanted to use some of the information to help her on the SAT in the fall. We started with lines, topics include: slope of a line, graphing using point and a slope, slope-intercept form and standard form of a linear equation, writing equations of lines given two points or a graph, parallel and perpendicular lines, conversion between forms of linear equations, and interpretation of the y-intercept and slope in some application. We did many practice problems from the book, as well as practice from the SAT relating to these topics.
