Lesson Topic
2-5 Absolute Value Functions and Graphs
Lesson Outline
Today we learned about graphing absolute value equations of the form y=I mx+b I + c. I taught Hunter to first find and graph the vertex ( -b/m, c). From there, we choose x values around the vertex, plug them into a chart, and find more points. The points are then graphed to form a v. We then used the graphing calculator to graph the equations. Hunter did a great job making conjectures about how variations in b and c affect the graph. Assignment p. 90 (1-17 odd). We did most in class - he has about 5 to finish for homework.
