Lesson Topic
3-1 Classifying Systems as Independent, Dependent, or Inconsistent
Lesson Outline
Today we looked at systems of equations from an algebraic perspective. I taught Hunter that parallel lines have no solution and are Inconsistent. Equations whose graph are the same line have all the same solutions, and are Dependent. And equations with one solution are Independent. We can determine how to classify the systems of equations by first looking at the equations' slopes, then their y-intercepts. Hunter worked through p, 121 (13-23 odd). He was able to follow the procedures well.
