Lesson Topic
Combining variables on both sides of the equals
Lesson Outline
This morning we reviewed the steps needed in order to simplify equations containing two or more variables on both sides of the equals sign. Bobby was completely prepared for class and admitted that he was only able to complete about one third of the evenings' assignment (page 133). We took he opportunity to discuss his evening schedule on a typical weekday and Bobby admitted that he had trouble sleeping. I am concerned that Bobby does not have a dedicated time each evening solely focused on homework. He admitted that the average evening workload is about 45 minutes which is light. In addition, he often has athletic events, or mathnasium or Fast Forward which reduces his time allotment for homework by an hour or more. We completed the problems on pages 131 and 133 before moving on to the next section. Homework is to complete problems 5-8 on page 133 and 11-14 on page 134.

Lesson Comments
I have asked Bobby to bring me copies of the work from mathnasium so that I can get a better idea as to what material they are covering.
