I taught Hunter how to factor quadratic expressions with a leading coefficient other than one. I had him multiply the "a" times "c", and find factors of ac that add to equal the b coefficient. Hunter could easily find the factors, but the process of factoring confused him a bit. He worked on p. 263 (25-45 odd)
