Craig and I covered a lot of material today. We looked at images on the internet and in the textbook to learn about the change in the U.S. - moderninzing from an agricultural society to an industrialized one. We discussed new inventions, the steel and oil industry, the advent of labor unions, monopolies, immigrants, and homesteaders. We learned about terrible working conditions before government regulation, Rockefeller, and the abundance of natural resources sustaining the railroad, steel and oil industries.
