Henry chose a current event article today on a litter of eight Cheetahs that were born at the St. Louis zoo. We read the article and learned that cheetahs usually only have one or two cubs so to have eight was extraordinary. He also learned that there are very few cheetahs left in the wild due to human interference and disappearing habitats. He answered comprehension questions and watched a video of the baby cheetahs after we read the article.
