Lesson Topic
Rational Exponents, Power to a Power, Rational Expressions
Lesson Outline
A rational exponent is a fraction. It's denominator is the root, and it's numerator is the exponent of that root. I taught Hunter how to write exponential powers as roots, and how to simplify them. I also taught him how to raise a power to a power. The base stays the same, and the exponents get multiplied. We worked several examples together, and he did some on his own. We will continue working on these concepts for the next several days.
