Pythagorean Theorem
Lesson Outline
During our first session, Hunter and I talked about purchasing health insurance, and we looked at a website that showed example plans. I explained to him what a copay is, and how the billing process works. We looked at plans that range from $150 to $300 a month, and talked about how that could fit into his budget.
We then looked at the Pythagorean Theorem for right triangles. It says that the hypotenuse squared is equal to the sum of the legs squared. Hunter used the formula to work (7-35 odd) on p. 617. He understood the concepts and got most of the exercises correct.
