Lesson Outline
I had Hunter work on some 5 question quizzes on Multiplying and Dividing Radical Expressions. He worked the problems and made corrections until he was able to score a 4 out of 5 correct. I also introduced Radical Expressions to him. Like terms have the same number under the radical sign. They can be added together by adding their coefficients. Hunter did p. 382 (1-12)

Lesson Comments
Judie, this is the day when Hunter took out his phone to look at in the middle of class. When I asked him to put it in the bag, he responded "I'll just put it in my pocket and it will stay there." We went back and forth a bit with me asking him to put it in the bag, and him telling me "This is how it is going to be. I'm going to put it in my pocket and keep it in my pocket." After about 5 minutes of this, I told him that I was going to take a break, and that I would tell you and Kelli what was going on, and that I would return when he was ready to put the phone in the bag. Out of 105 minutes in the afternoon, we only worked for about 45 of them. Once I returned for the last 30 minutes, his phone was plugged in on the desk. I put it in the bag and proceeded with the lesson without saying anything more about the phone, or the incident.
