Arianna reviewed the new words on her social studies word wall: pharaoh plague expedition territory interpreter barter Arianna looked at a map of the United States and located the route taken by Lewis and Clark. She explained the purpose of their journey. We also talked a bit about the Louisiana Purchase and how this connected to Lewis and Clark. We reviewed what Arianna had learned so far in the book, "A Picture Book of Sacagawea." I read the rest of the book to Arianna. We looked at the dates in the back of the book and we reviewed the important highlights of the life of Sacagawea. We then looked at pictures in another book, "The Saga of Lewis and Clark into the Uncharted West." We talked about each picture.
