Charlie spent the class working on his civilization game and his SchoolHouse Rock song. He changed his plan with regard to the game and created a new alien civilization that lives in dark matter in a black hole. He imagined an organized religion, specialized jobs, government, etc. He needs to think of a way to create a gameboard and a challenge for players. He decided upon a goal - to solve mathematical equations and work towards finding a way back to Earth after a meteor destroyed everything. We worked on the SchoolHouse Rock song together, looking to various sources for reminders of what communism is about. We put together some verses and Charlie was enthusiastic, with matching dance moves! His goal, with this song, is to teach other children what communism is.
