We spent the beginning of the lesson on CNN for Kids to review what is happening in the realm of current events. We then segued to the Social Studies Weekly program and completed lessons, "Centuries of Exploration on Our Amazing Earth" and "Planet Earth." We reviewed time eras and the difference between B.C.E. and C.E. As we begin to study the Earth and its continents, we learned how the continent of Europe derived its name.
