40 Minutes - Elle completed her “city” project. While she was finding pictures on the computer, printing them and pasting them to her “city” board, we discussed the activities going on in each building. For example: Le restaurant - we talked about meals in France and the fact that the main meal of the day is taken at lunch, not dinner. Also that dinner is at 8 p.m. Ecole = school; schools in France do not have the same schedule as those in the U.S., etc. Elle repeated the French words many times during this activity.

Elle was very resistant to beginning her lesson today. She insisted that she needed to speak with her friend Kate. I gave them a few minutes to talk then asked Elle to come back into her own room so that we could get started. She refused and I asked Tara to speak with her. I later learned that Elle was very anxious over both the amount of time and the subjects she had on her schedule.
