Lesson Outline
An introduction to forces was given. We went over some basic definitions, the units of force and an explanation of the four fundamental forces of nature and how any force can be broken down to originating from one of these four. We discussed Newton's three laws in relation to forces, how to draw force diagrams, and the method of finding the net force by summing over the various components.

Lesson Comments
Vlad had some issues with vector analysis and finding components of a vector (basic trigonometry) so I would like to work more with him on this before moving on. Because he said he had finished with the previous chapter on kinematics and did the problems and didn't have any issues with it, I started the session by jumping into the next chapter thinking he had understood all previous material. I think the next time I meet with him I should go back to the previous chapter and confirm that he has a thorough understanding of how to solve kinematics problems.
