I guided Samantha through some carefully selected problems to reinforce her knowledge of several topics in quadratic expressions and equations. The topics included calculating the vertices and axes of symmetry for the graph of quadratic functions, factoring quadratic functions, solving quadratic equations by various means, finding the type and number of solutions of a quadratic equation, and operations with complex numbers. After working through the chapter review, I gave Sam the practice test consisting of 25 problems. She worked through part of it by the end of the second session. We will continue to work on the practice test next session. There was no assignment.
