Lesson Topic
Math - Geometric Shapes and Angles
Lesson Outline
Student: Henry Orthwein; Teacher: Ms. Nicole Rieman substituting for Ms. Caroline; Subject: Math Time: 08:30 - 09:00. Henry was in good spirits for his math lesson. We started in the garden doing a verbal quiz relating to different shapes and angles and their meaning. Although Henry was keeping his hands busy with the garden, he was engaged mentally and knew most of the answers without being reminded. The last ten minutes of class we went to his office where we continued on in his math textbook at section 8-5 (pages 210-211). We read through the section relating to different types of quadrilaterals and angles. We moved on to answering questions on the next page solving for the 4th angle when given the first three measurements. He performed well and has remarkable ability for problem-solving in his head. We went through a whole page of questions, working them out verbally, which he answered correctly.
