Santino was very tired upon arrival. We found our place in a classroom and Santino fell asleep as he was read a story. We worked on a few academic skills using a balloon as a motivator and reinforcement for compliance with directives, but Santino was clearly tired and unresponsive to efforts to engage him. His OT was to be arriving at 1:30 to work on feeding techniques with him, so he was woken at least 1/2 hour prior to her arrival so he would be responsive to working with her.
