I guided Samantha through the solution of equations with variable exponents which could be solved by taking the logarithm of both sides of the equation. We then solved equations using the natural logarithm with base 'e'. By recognizing that the natural logarithm and the exponential function are inverse functions, Samantha was able to see that an exponential equation could be solved by taking the natural logarithm of both sides. There was no assignment.
