Looking at other disasters in history at sea

There are are other famous disasters at sea from the 20th century...too many to discuss in one class. Today we looked at two other famous disasters:the loss of the Lusitania in 1915 (sank in 1915 after being targeted by German u-boat torpedo), the loss of the USS Arizona, (sank after the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor in 1941). We discussed natural disasters that can cause large ships to sink or capsize such as earthquakes that can lead to devastating tidal waves or tsunamis and even strong storms/hurricanes.

Amira was unhappy today. She seems tired and exhausted from staying with the Beadles as she endures non-stop drama when she is there. It is getting to her. She wanted to speak with Ms. Judie and spent the 2nd half of the period speaking privately with Judie. Also...Shelley and I were both double-booked to work with Amira during this period. I took this class with Amira because Shelley had a class with Amira earlier in the day.
