Cam read and discussed the issues leading up to the Revolutionary War. I was so pleased with his positive attitude and participation. That changed as we left class, and I was informed of a fictious and potentially libelous text he wrote to another student. I immediately reported this untrue comment he made in a text to another student to Dr. Dixon.

Lesson Comments
His libelous and totally untrue statement made in a text to another student at the school was reported to Dr. Dixon and
Ms Judie. At the very least, I deserve an apology from him
acknowledging his very inappropriate and unacceptable behavior.
Cam said to me yesterday when we I asked him if he were feeling better because he had been absent, he said it didn't matter if he were absent that this school didn't care if he had lots of absences. I told him that the school did care and that they kept track of his absences.
We discussed the previous chapter. Then, we discussed the vocabulary words for the current chapter. Then, we read through the section focusing on the vocabulary words in context and the illustrations. Finally, he answered the comprehension questions. He also presented his gecko project.
Cam wrote an essay about a leopard gecko. He listened as I read about the Sugar act, the Stamp Act, and Patrick Henry. He answered questions as to how these events contributed to the American Revolution.
Cam wrote an essay on the Five Lined Skink. He listened as I read to him from p.145 section 2 of "The Colonial Resistance," and answered some questions pertaining to the text.

Lesson Comments
Cam is not doing any American History. Today he allowed me to read from the text, and he did answer some questions. My concern is that he is expecting to get credit for this course.
