Jason was introduced to the words querer (to want) and necesitar (to need).
We discussed the difference between needs and wants. I was pleasantly surprised that Jason already had a strong foundation in this concept. So, we kept that part of our lesson brief.
We then spoke about items that characters in Minecraft need and want. Jason and I created a chart of how many of each different food sources in the game he needs currently.
We used the Spanish words for need and want liberally in questions and statements that used pictures for communication.
