Jason continued to work on the Topic 3 assessment on adding within 100 using strategies. He answered questions on using a hundred chart and a number line to add tens and ones, breaking apart numbers, using compensation, and solving one- and two-step problems. He had a great day today and answered 10 more questions with a good attitude.
Jason worked on a drawing. He started by planning his picture. In this picture at least one character was to be doing each of the following actions: listening, speaking, walking, seeing, playing.
Jason and I reviewed each of those actions in Spanish. He has improved his pronunciation words like escuchar significantly.
Jason continues to work on his skills of hitting the baseball.
Today we worked on his stance at the plate.
We also talked about keeping his eye on the ball.
Finally, we continue to talk about running the bases.
Jason and I read the text "Voting Matters" on pages 32-33 in the Inquiry Journal. He circled the words he didn't know. He underlined clues that tell him: What is voting? How can people vote? Why do people vote?
