We read a book about dinosaurs and discussed plants and flowers in the wild. Alexandra loved the story and was eager to start the bee and flower craft project.
She colored in the stem and leaves green. Then, she colored the bee yellow. She had trouble with cutting, so I cut out the shapes for her. Lastly, she glued the pieces onto a piece of paper and created the bee and flower craft project.
We discussed that rojo is Spanish for red. We read a few books about fire drills since we had one today. We explored the fact that fire is red/rojo and some of the rules to follow during a fire drill. Then, we cut out red construction paper and created a red/rojo mosaic.
Alexandra completed her interactive calendar. She read her sight words. She practiced reading CVC words. She finished her calendar talk activity. She worked on her phonics activities. She wrote her ABC's. She had story time.
This morning, Alexandra continued to work on her dinosaur-themed number book from 1 through 10. She traced and wrote the given page number, counted the same number of dinosaur eggs, and searched for the page number hidden within the page. Once all the pages were complete, the book was stapled together and Alexandra creatively added animal stickers to each page.

Then, she counted and glued the correct number to the amount of baby triceratops or eggs in a nest that were counted. Finally, we worked on a giant dinosaur floor puzzle together.
