Ben and I discussed the separation of powers between the federal government and state governments. We also discussed the separation of power between each branch of federal governments. We discussed how judicial system works in comparison to others.
Ben and I studied about physics and space travel and how the government has and hasn’t supported development of space travel. We discussed how Oppenheimer and Einstein supported the government during WW2.
We focused on how state legislators support their states and work for people. We discussed voting habits and we also discussed how local elections run.
Ben and I discussed how Ben would lead a nation if he started. We discussed democracy and republicanism. We also discussed how trade works between nations and how leaders can create trade.
New Country assignment. Ben was tasked with addressing the basic questions and philosophies about starting a new country. How would he lead and for who? When would he want to start a country and how would he protect his people?
Ben and I studied the Politics of Florida, Texas and New York. We then discussed in detail how cities, suburbs and rural communities vote. We then discussed swing states in upcoming elections.
In a Case study, Ben and I dove into Politics of Florida, New York and Hawaii. We discussed the geography and politics of each state and why each state votes and behaves differently. Hawaii was a good case study.
