Using twist markers, Richard practiced his spelling words. We reviewed sounds he has had this year. He read books with words he can read. We did the Orton Gillingham assessment.
Today we reviewed the the multiple choice problems he had for homework. He did 15 problems and got 13 of them correct. I was super proud of him for that. Then we pulled up a practice test from AP Classroom. We began the free response questions. He will finish them tonight.
Today we got practice with mixed property exponents. We reviewed the multiplying, dividing, power to power, and negative exponent properties first. Then we did an activity where we had to match the simplified answer to the letter. We practiced the mixed properties together and eventually answered the question, "How does a snowman get around?" "He rides an icicle." This was good practice for Carson.
Ben was 25 minutes late to class - he was in the bathroom. He worked on his MAPs testing. He did not finish but should be on track to finish next class.
Today Andrew finished his MAPs testing. Yay! He worked diligently most of the period. He finished with about 10 minutes left in class. He asked to go to the art room to work on his projects.
