Aiden read and watched a video about lenses, convex and concave lenses. He analyzed diagrams of a convex lens producing converging rays and a concave lens producing diverging rays.

Work on sentence types and the proper punctuation.

Review the vocabulary from the passage. Find the sentences they were used in and then if the meaning can be found nearby (context clues). Connect to what the author wrote.

Practice the letter sounds that have 2 different sounds. Identify words that start with those sounds. Review sight words and practice using some in sentences. Complete vowel sounds worksheet. Read short vowel words book and point out the words. Practice writing the words from the book.

Continue with the editing and revising of Chris's work. Use the checklist introduced last week.

Review the short and long vowel sounds on the cards. Continue to create and practice CVC words. Create a story that I will then write for Libby. She is doing a drawing and telling the story as she draws that I transcribe for her.

Read the passage starting on pg 433. Discuss what the author is trying to tell the reader. What support does he use to help his POV.

Using what Nico wrote yesterday, talk about onomatopoeia and other ways to make a grabber sentence to start his first paragraph. Create several and decide which one best fits. Add several words to his list of words to know in binder.

Take a story plot that PJ was disappointed in and rewrite it.
