7-6 Factoring ax2 + bx + c – We reviewed how to factor a trinomial algebraic expression in the form ax2 + bx + c when “a” is not equal to one by either grouping or substitution. We practiced factoring out a GCF before finding the factor pairs by multiplying a times c.
Assignment: Complete the assigned problems for homework.
We will look at various forms and uses of ratios. We will also solve proportions using a variety of techniques. Examples will be given to help in understanding the concepts.

Cam was late arriving to class so I searched for him. I found him at the front desk with Elise. He was complaining about a headache and was seeking Advil to take. Elise couldn't give him and so they were waiting for the end of a meeting so Nicole could maybe permit him to have Advil. I waited with them until the period was nearly completed. No math was done. Cam was never in the classroom.
We will do examples of ratios and proportions as it may relate to owning a zoo. We will state rations in several ways and we will solve proportion problems.
Our study will involve the arithmetic of polynomials. We will add, subtract and multiply polynomials in this first part of this study. We will do examples and also practice problems.

The lesson went very well. We will look at dividing polynomials next session.
7-6 Factoring ax2 + bx + c – We learned how to factor a trinomial algebraic expression in the form ax2 + bx + c when “a” is not equal to one by either grouping or substitution. We discovered that factoring out a GCF before finding the factor pairs made the numbers smaller and easier to work with.
We will create a table showing four different functions and how they , and an exponential function. As we move to applications of functions we will relate the changes in each type to a graph.
We will study exponents. We will use the proper notation, investigate the properties, and evaluate exponential expression. Examples will be done in the session.
