We learned how use the word gefallen. We also learned about traditional Bavarian tracht (lederhosen and dirndl).

We learned about the accusative case and practiced using it. We did several exercises where Joshua had to decide if the accusative case or nominative case of definite articles, indefinite articles, and personal pronouns was needed.

Joshua took exam 1 on introductions, home, and school vocabulary and grammar.

We learned clothing and shopping vocabulary. We watched an Easy German video where people described their clothes and then created compound words.

Joshua finished the last section of his "All About Me" poster that he had a few questions on. He then presented it. It looks great! We spent the rest of class reviewing for his exam on Wednesday.

We finished reading Hansel and Gretel. We then reviewed grammar and verb conjugations for exam 1.

Joshua was absent.

We continued reading Hansel und Gretel. Joshua wrote down the translations of any new words, although many were already familiar.
