List and discus the Common SI units used in physics, along with a few of the derived units.
Discuss mechanical equilibrium. Define and explain a force. Discuss resting motion and non resting motion. Indicate why a force is needed to change the state of motion. Examine examples determining the net force exerted on an object. Define tension, weight, and stretching force
Discuss how math describes ideas which are unambiguous in physics. Use Ohms law to explain how concepts of electricity in a circuit can be determined by a math formula, which remains constant. Use examples of V = I x R and discuss how each answer depends on the formula.

Assignment should demonstrate how to arrive at specific answers based on specific formulas
Perform launch lab. Discuss how perception can fool reality. Explain which properties of matter might affect the rate of fall on an object. Discuss how physics involves the study of the physical world.
We did plenty of practice problems involving forces and kinematic equations. We also reviewed and practiced interpreting position-time and velocity-time graphs.
