oliver lost a few minutes of play time but overall is being a better listener
using diagrams and print outs read and discuss the action of neurotransmittors, the type of recpeptors and the reactions to stimulation of the receptors. Concentrate on the ion transfer whilch occurs and how that causes the action potential to develope.

We first looked at the structure of neurons and the role of neurotransmitters in the conduction of the impulse. Then we discussed some specific receptors and transmitters, by reading articles dealing with the response in the brain to these transmitters, particularly GABA. Trevor had his usual 100 questions, which are all well thought out and stimulating to try to answer. He seems to do beteter with the longer class, it gives him, and me, a chance to research deeper into some of this material.
Calendar, Standardized Tests:Environment and Listening to Words and Stories. Played math and word games on Moshimonster.com. Created sentences with word magnets. Created stories to go along with yesterday's art designs. Made Father's Day Cards for Dads and Grandpas.
