Female reproductive anatomy and physiologty
Lesson Outline
The structure and function of the female reproductive system is viewed in diagrams, and outlined. Full discussion of the menstrual cycle from day 1 to day 28, depicting the levels of hormones, the conversion of the follicles, the increase in cell, tissue, and blood vessels as the functional layer of the endometrium changes over the cycle. Human reproductive system
Lesson Outline
View and review spermatogenesis and oogenesis, along with the regulating hormones.
Discuss both the structure and function of the male reproductive system and the female reproductive system.
For the male, concentrate on the testes, ducts, and glands. Their location, secretions, pH of secretions, and affects of the pH. Concentrate on the Vas Deferens, the ejaculatory duct, and the urethra. Discuss the function and structure of the seminiferous tubules, the Sertoli cells and the hormone inhibin.
The glands include the prostrate, bulbourethral, and seminal vesicle
For the female system, concentrate on the paired ovaries, fallopian tubes, uterus, and vagina.
Discuss the ovarian follicles, the formation of mature egg cells, the production of estrogen, the process of ovulation, fertilization and ectopic pregnancies.
