Same size same shape, left and right, patterns, and counting: Danny was very impressive today as he did different activities. Recognizing same shapes and sizes, patterns, left and right and counting to 100. His counting is getting better. He looked at the chart only when the digits changed from 10's, 20's, 30's,... . Danny is such a bright young man.
We read the book entitled One Little, Two little, Three Little Apples. We discussed the book and Danny answered comprehensive questions. We sorted pictures that were the same and different.
We reviewed the letters of the alphabet. Danny went on Reading eggs and reviewed letter m.

Writing numbers and counting: Danny did a good job associating shapes with numbers and writing numbers. He counted to 100 again today and is getting more proficient at it. I noticed he wasn't feeling well, I gave him tissues for his nose. I checked his head for fever, he had no fever. He was very uncomfortable with the drippy nose though. I stopped our lesson about 3/4 through, and notified staff that he wasn't well. He did a great job. Hope you feel better, Danny.
Patterns: The patterns got a little more complex as we progressed, Danny did very well he got most of them with some assistance. He counted to one hundred and reviewed
10,20,30,40,50,60,70,80,90,100. He says, "100", with a roar. Great job, Danny.
Patterns: The patterns today were more complex then yesterday's. Danny did very well using the pattern clues to find the next figure or color. We also used the counting chart from 1 to 100 which we will use daily until he does it from memory. He was more aggressive today with the chart all the way to 100. Danny is such a pleasure.
We spoke about family. Danny and I reviewed the letters of the alphabet and sounds.
We spoke about the letter m and the sound it makes. We did a paper on matching letters.He did a great job of finding the letters and circling the ones that matched. Danny went on Reading Eggs and completed level one and is moving into level 2.
Patterns: Today Danny worked with patterns, a series of colored objects in ordered patterns. Danny had to recognize the pattern and identify the color of the last object. He is a smart young man. He caught on to the idea immediately and identified the color of the last object with little hesitation. Then we got out the counting chart 1 to 100. He counted very well up to 18 or 19. I had him continue and he noticed the repeated sequence after the 20's, 30's, 40's, ... the numbers continued 41, 42, 43, 44, 45 ... all the way to 100. This young man is so bright. Way to go, Danny!
We discussed the letter a. I gave Daniel a mirror and we said the sound the letter a makes in the mirror. We talked about what things begin with the letter a sound. After, I showed Daniel his red word book. He traced the letter a and wrote the letter a.
