Today Gracyn and I skyped. First we drew pictures for some of her spelling words. Next we completed her morning reading, writing, and math review sheet. Next, she wrote her morning sentence. She wrote about how excited she is to go to Atlanta to see her daddy! We learned about singular and plural words and we completed a fun worksheet. In reading, I read her "Pinkalicious, a Pinktastic Day at the Zoo." She listened and then completed a book report on the story. Her favorite part was when Pinkalicious turned the zebra pink. In Raz Kids she read me a level C story on the cycle of an apple. She is very excited to see her daddy tonight in Atlanta!

Arianna and I reviewed graphing today. She had to look at a picture and graph animals she saw. Then she had to identify the amount of each one and then which group was the most and the least. After reviewing, we took her chapter 16 test. She did so great! I was so proud of her! She has now completed all of the work in her math book and she is officially ready for 1st grade!

During her math time, we played "Barbie Math." This is a game that we created where she takes all of her Barbies, and we practice addition, subtraction, and even some basic division concepts visually. She really enjoyed this game and she did very well!
During the baking time, we watched a kids baking competition online. We discussed what they were doing as they were creating their cakes, and then Gracyn guessed who was going to be the winner.

Today Gracyn and I wrote about what we do on rainy days. This was perfect because it was raining at her house in St. Louis. Gracyn said that on rainy days she stays indoors and snuggles on the couch. Next, we focused on verbs. We did a cute flower worksheet where we had to identify verbs. When we found them we had to color the flower. In reading Gracyn read me a level D book called "Big Fish". She did a great job sounding out the words she did not know. After she finished reading, she took the reading comprehension test and answered all of the questions correctly.
