We went back over the grammar material to try to clean up some of the silly mistakes Declan made on the practice test. He often knows the right answer, but doubts himself and chooses a different one. We really hammered on commas and semi-colons. Hopefully it will sink in this time.
Declan was a bit late today, but we still were able to get a lot of work done on the writing section. He did a great job of following the formula, but didn't pay enough attention to his sentence and paragraph structure. His thesis and topic statements were very convoluted and he didn't fully develop his ideas. We'll work on it.

Declan improved on his grammar score, but he's still having problems with commas and semi colons. Next week we're going to do a massive review to remedy the problem. His practice writing test was solid, but definitely has room for improvement. He needs to be sure to fully develop his ideas and stay on topic within each paragraph. He scored a 25 on the practice science test.
Go through drill questions and strategies. Practice problems.

Declan did well, very attentive and receptive. Did some practice problems and I timed him, he's at a good pace. Will pick up next time where we left off.
Declan improved his score on this last reading test, but I still think he can do better. He used the techniques we've been working on for half of the test and the other half, went back to his old way. We're working on developing a consistent method for taking the test. Also, he apparently got really distracted while taking the test, which can't happen on test day.
Very good review, he understands all the problems he got wrong. Didn't do any lessons or practice tests, Declan wanted to review the practice instead. Will reschedule next week, he hopes to take another practice test before that.
