Today Gwendolyn began the cereal box display for her Harriet Tubman report. She printed out the pictures, the final copy of her report, and designed the front cover. When she was finished, she read from her chapter book "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe".

Today Gwendolyn began our session with a vocabulary lesson that required her use her vocabulary words to fill in context clues. When she was finished, she finished typing up and editing the final draft of her Harriet Tubman paper. During our second session, she worked on a life map picture for Language Arts enrichment.
Revision of Harriet Tubman report, vocabulary, and oral reading

Today Gwendolyn finished revising her report on Harriett Tubman. Then she made a plan for her project. She also finished up a new section in unit 8 of her vocabulary book. The final few minutes were spent reading in her chapter book "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe".

10-5 Adding Mixed Numbers
We practiced using fraction strips and finding common denominators to add the fractions in mixed numbers. Then we practiced adding the whole parts of the mixed numbers to the fractional part.
Today we reviewed the days of the week and answered which day is today and which is our favorite day. Also, we learned the vowel sounds and listened to a song that will help us remember the phonological sounds of vowels in Spanish. We learned name formation in Spanish culture, what happens to the last name of the woman when she gets married and what names the children take, we played a game asking who is it? and what is his/her name?
