Dylan put the finishing touches on his fishing spear. This included three rubber bands looped in sequence, a fish line, and the four points sharpened.

Danny and I set our objective to somehow calculate the height of Super Mario. After we watched a short video of Super Mario we still could not determine for certain how tall he might be. We will continue this research in a future session.

Spear Fishing
Lesson Outline
Dylan decided to make a fishing spear from the saplings wood he cut off branches from the Batt playground yard. After cutting to the proper length and sharpening the point, a fish line is tied to the opposite end. Dylan views a video on how to split the point to better spear the fish.

Dylan and I took a field trip to the Batt School playground in search of possible ideas for his next project. After a lengthy excursion, Dylan cut some leaves off three 5-6' long braches with a coping saw. Next session he will decide how these will be used.
