Matthew and I began our session with prayer. I then read aloud a Bible story on one of Jesus' miracles, Luke 8:22 "Jesus Calms the Storm". Matthew then answered three questions pertaining to the story, 'What did Jesus do at the beginning of the story?', 'Why were the disciples in danger?', and lastly, 'What miracle did Jesus perform and what did he ask the disciples?' Lastly, Matthew continued watching an episode on VeggieTales: Lord of the Beans - a lesson in using your gifts.

I was a substitute from 8:13am-9:00am for Mr. Jackson - Religion. Sub. plans were provided. Mr. Jackson provided excellent sub. plans. Thank you for that! - Please share that with him.
Today, Matthew learned about the significance of the idol. What idols have looked like through the lenses of Christianity and Judaism in comparison to idols from other cultures! We then took the last portion of our class to watch a Veggietales episode, our Friday tradition.
Matthew and I were pushed for time, however we were able to go through a brief review of what we had read at the end of last semester. This will help immensely as we take our jump to the New Testament.
Matthew and I continued working through his guided workbook. Matthew covered a lesson covering how the tribes of Isreal split throughout Canaan, and how differences still remained throughout the tribes. We finished with a brief YouTube video!
