Lesson Topic
Proportional Shapes and Solving for Unknowns
Lesson Outline
Baylie had a review sheet that incorporated proportional rules and the triangle bisector theorem. She had to apply rules of proportionality to triangles and other shapes. Proportions were set up, and then she solved for missing sides or variables. It was review for a test the end of the week.

SAS, SSS, AA Congruency
Lesson Outline
Baylie had a worksheet on angle congruency that we worked on. She had to determine if AA, SAS, or SSS were the congruency rules for the triangles. She did a great job!

Similar Shapes
Lesson Outline
Baylie had 2 IXL exercises about similar shapes. She had to determine the similarity ratios of the sides and name the congruency statements in the correct order. She had to determine if the shapes were congruent or not. She did an amazing job!

Proofs
Lesson Outline
Baylie had another set of exercises on proofs of triangles. These proofs required her to fill in more blanks. She did a great job. I showed her reasons for why you don't always need to list the given statements first. Sometimes it makes more sense to draw logical conclusions from the given statements.

triangle Proofs
Lesson Outline
We went through proofs that had Baylie proving the congruency of triangles, and then we extended the lesson to work on CPCTC, which stands for "Congruent Parts of Congruent Triangles are Congruent". She would prove triangles are congruent, then prove parts of them congruent. She did a great job!

Congruent Triangles
Lesson Outline
Baylie had a worksheet with pairs of triangles. She had to look at the congruency markings and determine if there were any more congruency statements to make. She then had to state the reason for any additional statements. She also had to state if the triangles were congruent or not, and why or why not. She did well. We did debate the last question, as she felt like my reasoning was a stretch. She is going to ask her teacher about it.

Lesson Outline
Baylie had a great Saturday at the Homecoming Dance, so she filled me in on it.
We looked at some triangles and tried to determine if they were congruent. Their sides were not equal, but if they were all proportional, then we could prove congruency. She also had to know which congruency rules to use.

Congruent polygons
Lesson Outline
Identifying Congruent figures and solving for missing parts of polygons when given congruency statements. Baylie also had to make congruency statements and solve problems involving corresponding parts of the polygons. She did a great job. I also introduced the triangle congruency statements that she will be learning about (SAS, AAS, SSS, and HL).

CONGRUENT FIGURES
Lesson Outline
Baylie had a worksheet that asked her to name parts of congruent polygons and to say whether or not you could prove polygons were congruent. She had to reason through questions about proofs and assumptions. She did a great job!

Test Review
Lesson Outline
Baylie's test was moved to Tuesday, so we were able to spend time studying again. She pulled up an IXL and we worked through it, and I showed her a quizlet. The questions dealt with Parallelograms and properties of them.
