I began the session by discussing ACT science test-taking strategies. Michael completed an ACT practice test prior to our session and scored 20-21 on the science section. Michael and I reviewed, analyzed, and corrected all his incorrect answers. Michael expressed understanding of his mistakes and feels confident that he can score a bit higher on the next science practice test. I assigned him a practice test to complete before we meet next. Our next meeting is Wednesday, May 17th.

Michael and I wanted to finish reviewing the entire science practice test, so we worked together 90 minutes, instead of 60 minutes. The session was only scheduled for 60 minutes. This was a voluntary choice by Michael and I :)
We worked through the ACT sample exam that Michael had done and discussed all the questions he had missed. After this, we worked a few more problems from the 2022 Princeton Review prep book.
We continued reviewing Nina's test and tackled some tough problems. We spoke about trigonometric ratios and various types of averages. We RE-learned the valuable lesson to read all information in the question thoroughly before attempting to solve problems.
In this activity, Maddie completed half of ACT exam. This was the fourth practice exam in the 2019 test booklet. Maddie did well and I wish her the best. It has been a pleasure working with such a concerned and motivated individual.
