We looked over the syllabi for his Statistics class and Managerial Accounting. Then we went through his lecture notes for Chapter 1 and 2 for Stats, and completed Homework 1.
We went through her practice test for her MAT1033 course at the college. The topics include operations with rational expressions, simplifying rational expressions. solving rational equations etc. We went through each problem, explanation and steps to solve. She seems to understand but should do one more practice exam before she goes and takes the actual test.
Brandon worked on his final paper today. He completed the last few sections by discussing motivating employees and dealing with problem employees. He gave examples for each and then provided the textbook's definition of how to handle both situations. He wrote his conclusion and then submitted the paper. He had a discussion post and response to do for Organizational Behavior, so he finished those off as well. Great work this week. I hope that he receives top marks in all of his classes!
Brandon and I reviewed the specifics of this week's final writing assignment (a 3000 word essay on an interview with his work supervisor). We outlined the specific questions Brandon wanted answered and we applied several of the course concepts to each section. Afterwards, Brandon began writing his introduction and first body paragraph. We will meet again tomorrow to finish the rest of this assignment.
Brandon is in his finals week, so he started by working on the final for Organizational Behavior. This took a big to finish, but he got through the whole thing in our extended session. We tackled one of the responses to his discussion post for Managing Diversity. Very productive session. We will begin his final paper for MD tomorrow.
