Michael was very tired this morning. He came in and immediately put his head down on his desk and fell asleep. Several students and teachers commented on how he looked like a zombie. I spoke to him about his weekend activities and other than a late night on Saturday he said he got enough sleep. I warned him that if he was sleeping during class I would send him home. By the time we had class he was more awake and alert but not by much.
We review the personal pronouns in the accusative case and fill in the blanks of a text with the missing pronouns. We read about when it is appropriate to call people in Germany. We talk about how it is in Argentina. We review word order in questions with modal verbs. Michael puts sentences in the right order. We look at a listing of television programs in Germany and figure out what's what (news, sports, weather...)

Michael seems a little down, his birthday is tomorrow, but most of his family is out of town. He does fine as far as the German lesson. The only thing he has some difficulty with is comprehending the text on making phone calls.
