It has been a little bit difficult with Jess not having the book, but we are trying to be flexible and work it out!
the exam included all of the material from the previous three chapters. 25 items were included with mulitple chice ,short ansers and chart interpretaion. Jessica was a little apprehensive about the exam but did exceedingly well. score 100! We will work on the test taking process to hopefully help Jess to be more confident.
Jess will be able to: 1. Create and interpret histograms; 2. Find and interpret the mean and median of a data set; 3. Understand the weaknesses and strengths of mean and median.

Jess still hadn't received the book today. I am holding off on homework until she gets the book. It shouldn't be a huge deal since the material in chapter 1 is relatively basic.
1) Announce Introduction to Beowulf Research Assignment: Jessica conducts research during our 45 minute class sessions and compiles her findings into a brief Powerpoint presentation, which we will later discuss.
2) Clarify some of Jessica's research findings on Beowulf, giving the work due context and set-up before our reading.
3) Begin Reading Beowulf
Discuss Literary Timeline and "The Rise of English"
