1) Discuss Jessica's Synthesis Essay on whether or not the penny should be abolished. Point out Jessica's strengths: clear thesis statement, topic sentences clearly relate back, nice good staging a conversation between sources. Weaknesses: Needed to extend the ideas in the last paragraph by cutting the conclusion short. Some topic sentences needed extra clarity.
2) Discuss wrong answers on multiple choice section.
We reviewed the material of the last couple of days and then moved on to some more complex problems which we worked together.

Jess was in much better shape today. She is home. Amanda's horse is still iffy, but seems to be getting better. Jess's computer is down, so she was Skyping via her iPhone4s--I'm not sure how she does that, but my iPhone is an older model. he seemed fine in getting the material.

Jess's attitude was fine which is truly amazing after what she just went through. Her friend's horse came down with colic during the night (Colic can be life-threaening in horses.) The two girls were at the barn and vet most of the night and were staying in a motel near the clinic. Jess was exhausted and didn't have her book or calculator, si I went very easy with her.
