We warmed up by two problems in which we found the 1st derivative of a function and used that and a specified point to find the equation of the tangent line at that point. Then we graphed the original function and the equation of the tangent line on the graphing calculator. Then I introduced the Product Rule and we used the remainder of the session applying the rule to find the derivatives of functions that were products of two other functions.
