AP Biology - getting acquainted
I quizzed Keaton on the phylum and class levels of the taxonomic scale for various marine organisms. We worked through the basic phylum of Porifera and Cnideria; I showed him examples from the Phylum Mollusca and he was tasked with giving me the classes for the gastropods, cephalopods and bivalves. We discussed the echinoderm and various worm phyla. We examined the different ways to learn the difficult names of different classes and how best Keaton learns.

We began by completing (4) different reading passages and multiple choice questions. We also discussed rhetorical terms and strategies. Next we reviewed the types of essays that will be found on the exam and the different approaches to each one.
We continued to work through a comprehensive timeline, discussing and synthesizing events. Next we discussed the format of the exam and some strategies for working through it.

We worked in the kitchen - Keaton seems to work best where there is plenty of room to move around.
We began reviewing for the exam. We reviewed the period from 1490 through 1890. We used a guided timeline and the review book for sources. I gave my book to Keaton to look over for the next two days.
