We spoke about what he is writing with Monica, and what other topics he might be interested in writing about. He brought up this hacking group called "Anonymous" and is a bit interested in what they are doing, so we discussed them a bit more.
Hunter did not do the assigned HW from Ch. 5-1. I reviewed 5-1 again. I covered Ch. 5-2 Direct Variation and 5-3 Slope Intercept Form. I assigned HW from both sections.

Today, Hunter took his Unit 3 Vocabulary Test and scored a 90% A-. This word list was particularly challenging, so I'm proud of him. After the quiz, we reviewed the Personal Narrative guidelines and he completed a Penzu journal entry to brainstorm a topic for this new essay.

Lesson Outline
Continued work quantifying thrust using our second-generation experimental propeller car. Developed prototype to determine force, mass and acceleration of an electric motor-driven vehicle.
We took a detour today and discussed the aftermath of Friday's ISIS raid in Paris and the announcement that French police had killed Abduhamid Abouab, the ringleader of the terrorist action.

Hunter experienced technical difficulties with his alarm clock and was running late--hence the "detour."
Today, Hunter completed chapter 3 in vocabulary, learning twenty new words, such as "gluttony," "dissent," and "adherent." He also read the poem "The Road Not Taken" by Robert Frost, answering my questions on the literal and figurative messages.
