Lab project -
Jack had conducted an experiment on the effect of solution on potato mass. We used this period to complete a lab report, including data table, graph and conclusions. I helped Jack type up the lab report. I also read over his report on the Deep Horizon Oil Spill, and the effects on the environment and culture of the Gulf Coast.

Potato experiment -
Jack and I reviewed the experiment he will conduct in-class tomorrow. He wrote out the materials and methods, and distinguished the dependent from the independent variables. We discussed how a potato sample will react in an isotonic, a hypotonic and a hypertonic solution respectfully. We also discussed his essay on the Deep-water Horizon oil spill of 2011. The report from his experiment and the final draft of his essay are due next week. We made plans to go over his work before they are submitted to his teacher.

EOC review -
Jack and I worked our way through study worksheets that address the seven different sections that are part of the biology end of course test. When we came to areas that Jack was uncertain, we worked on the basics to prepare him for tomorrow's exam.
We reviewed verbs that end in -IR.
We conjugated and created a list of new regular -ir verbs.
We had a quiz on our new words.
We did workbook activities.
We practiced conversation.

Biome -
Jack had packet of information about biomes. We read each page together and answered the questions on many of the pages. We discussed the relationship between rainfall and temperature on a biome, and the differences attributed to latitude and altitude.
