Kelly and I reviewed the PowerPoint from the teacher and performed some research about the ideas. This is in preparation for reading Animal Farm.

Today Kelly had a quiz on the first part of chapter 5. She got a 100! Also, we started to work on chapter 6 studying past tense using the verb to be. We paid attention to agreements of gender and number according to the pertinent subject pronoun. In addition we worked on pages 47 and 48 in her workbook.

Kelly finished the Cambodia project and sent it off to the teacher. Great job, Kelly!

Kelly reviewed vocabulary and created a quizlet on propaganda. We continued to work on the Cambodia project in Geography and made great progress.

We reviewed the draft of what Kelly has written so far, identified what she needs to add, and conducted further research.

We created a Worked Cited page in the MLA style for the Cambodia project.

Kelly is far ahead in Bible, so she wanted to work on the Geography project. We conducted more research on her project on the desforestation of Cambodia and Kelly wrote a page and a half.

We discussed some of the properties of the Group 14 and 15 elements in the periodic table and she took her elements quiz.

Today we started to prepare for the upcoming chapter test. We did the introduction and the 1st part.
We went over exercises and vocabulary words. Tomorrow she will be taking a vocabulary test on chapter 5.

Kelly worked on a science wksht involving the periodic table, finding elements and identifying their atomic number, atomic weight, and calculating the number of electrons; drawing the Lewis structure dot diagrams for several elements, and distinguishing between an atom, element, molecule, and compound.
