In today's class, we talked about Arrhenius acids and bases, including what they are, what some common examples of them are, and what they do to a solution. Andrew did very well with the new information and was able to answer all of my review questions for him at the end.
In today's class, we went over some problems that deal with specific heat capacities of different solutions. We also used some formulas (such as C1V1=C2V2) to solve dilution problems. We went over some heating and cooling curves as well.

I was asked to tutor Jeron over this past weekend. He is a wonderful kid and it was nice helping him out.
Andrew worked on the functional groups activity provided by Miss Nicole. He noted that he had been confused/struggling with this concept earlier this week.
In today's class, we started talking about Arrhenius acids and bases. We went over the definition for both and discussed some common Arrhenius bases and acids you can see today. We went over what role they play in chemistry as well.
In today's class, we continued our discussion on functional groups in organic molecules. We talked about what functional groups are, what kinds we can find in organic molecules (such as ketones and esters), and why they are important. Andrew then worked on an activity that covers the topic of functional groups.
